After a lot of pawing and dog whining, Doug agreed to help Hughie and
Henry get Woof Woof Walkers off the ground and into the parks. Doug, or
“Uncle Dougie”, as he’s better known by all his canine pals, loves dogs. He’s
had and walked dogs all his life.
Uncle Dougie’s successfully completed a course in pet first aid, and the
Professional Dog Walkers Association International’s Dog Walking
Mentorship Program. He has a keen interest and continues to participate in
obedience training classes from the puppy level right up to advanced
obedience. He loves to work with puppies. Doug and his doggie Hughie
train in “canine tracking”. Doug has also been involved in a variety of other
activities including retriever trials training, and has observed field
training for pointers, dog sledding with Huskies, and volunteered at dog
daycare. Doug annually attends canine courses to further his education on
dog behavior, training, etc. Doug has a university degree in recreation
administration.
Woof Woof Walkers is fully bonded and insured. References are available
upon request.
" Doug completed
the Dog Walker Apprenticeship Program with flying colours!
His dog walking and handling skills are excellent, and he
maintained a calm, gentle demeanor and a sense of humour at
all times, even when my Newfoundland peed on him. Doug has
an extensive knowledge of dogs and how they behave, but is
still eager to study and learn more. All of my dogs loved
him, and I would highly recommend him as a dog walker."

"We can not speak any higher
of Doug and his dog walking services! Maple looks forward
to his visits and she is extremely content when we arrive
home at the end of each day. Thank you,Doug for putting
our minds at ease and looking out for the well being of
our favourite Viszla in the world!"

"Cal is now part of
a friendly trio of dogs who walk and run with Woof Woof Walkers.
After a long working day, it is a relief to know that Cal
has not spent his entire day waiting at the window for his
owner to come home.
Instead, Cal is rewarded with the benefits of the dog walking
service by socializing with other dogs through spending a
wonderful two hours with Hughie, Henry and Uncle Dougie. They
are out doing what all dogs do best -- having fun! Doug is
an experienced handler who is devoted to the care and safety
of all dogs. We are both very grateful for this wonderful
service."
